Quebec City, November 13th, 2020 – Another major worldwide achievement
We are very proud to announce the official release of Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War, available now. The game is an all-new entry into the award-winning Black Ops series. Prior to today’s release, the open Multiplayer Beta for the game was the most downloaded Beta in Call of Duty franchise history.
Beenox has led development of the PC version, working closely with lead studios Treyarch and Raven Software, as well as additional studios including High Moon Studios. Black Ops Cold War delivers a thrilling campaign narrative, the next generation of Multiplayer combat and the highly-anticipated return of the Zombies Mode.
Black Ops Cold War drops fans into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. Nothing is ever as it seems in a gripping single-player story where players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales of the time period like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters and more.
‘’We have worked closely with Treyarch and Raven Software to develop a great Black Ops Cold War PC version, bringing over 200 individual settings to the game,’’ said Marc-Alexandre Milot, UI/UX Director at Beenox.
Powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PC features a lifelike experience thanks to RTX Shadows and Ambient Occlusion, which provides photo-realistic shadows that further immerses you within the game’s world. Keeping up with the latest trends in rendering and latency developments, the PC version will also include both NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) and Reflex Technology.
“We are an incredibly dedicated and passionate team, and strive for excellence on the PC,” said Thomas Wilson, Co-Studio Head at Beenox. “We’ve worked tirelessly to optimize the player’s experience on the PC platform. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the result of the team’s hard work, and we can’t wait for gamers to enjoy the fruits of our team’s labor.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now worldwide on PlayStation® 5 (Australia, Japan, New Zealand, North America, Singapore, South Korea; rest of world availability Nov. 19th), PlayStation® 4, the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and on PC, in a fully optimized experience for Battle.net, Blizzard Entertainment’s online gaming service.
